October is Ohio School Safety Month

HB 583 of the 134th General Assembly designated October as School Safety Month in Ohio to increase public awareness of school safety programs and to encourage Ohioans to identify their role in keeping Ohio schools a safe place for students to learn and grow.

2022 Month Theme: Know School Safety, Know Your Role – It’s Everyone’s Responsibility

Each week has a theme to help schools highlight resources they have within their school and community and provides an opportunity to engage with students, staff, parents/guardians, and community members on their school safety programs.

Week 1: Comprehensive Safety

Week 4: Know Your Role
